Hi Morgan:

This is your Great Uncle Jim, up here in Minnesota. I just
wanted you to know that we're thoroughly enjoying your Blog and think it's wonderful that you allowing us to share your experiences. Way to go Girl!!

I'm sure you're aware that the Philpott family has been in
England for about a thousand years but, before that, they were in France. I've seen a few spellings of our name in French but the one that seems the most common is spelled Philippateaux. I've heard it pronounced "Fill a pet toe" but
perhaps you'll find someone who can offer a confirmation.

Hey, you might find this interesting. My daughter's husband (Shari & Prescott) is working on his Phd in Religious Studies and he's been offered a job at the Naropa University in Boulder Colorado to establish a new department for volunteer services. I thought he'd go into teaching but this seems to be a perfect fit. For the last few years he's been developing a Buddhist Coalition in Boulder
which matches volunteers to people who have needs. Service to
others is large part of Buddhism and they've had some great
successes attracting hundreds of volunteers. The interesting thing
is that many of their volunteers are not Buddhists, just people who
want to be involved. Anyway, we're very proud of him!

Well, I'll close for now but please continue updating your blog.

Lots of Love!

Jim Philpott
